Lots of Tales

We've had such a busy and eventful last week that I've gotten terribly behind in posting B stories. Here are a couple...

On Tuesday night we were in Georgetown eating dinner with Stacy, the girls, TJ, and Emily. B was happilly eating fistfulls of rice when I heard him gasp. He was turning red and inhaling as though he couldn't get enough oxygen to support the scream he was about to produce. I reached into his mouth and found a piece of FRESH jalapeno pepper about the size of my finger nail. Apparently, it had been mixed in with the rice. B was TORTURED by the pain...sweating bullets. First, we tried pouring sugar in his mouth. That didn't work very well. Then, TJ ran to the wait staff and asked for some milk. The milk did the trick, but B was depleted of energy for the night. TJ cradled him in his arms for the rest of our dinner. That was rough on everyone.

On a happier note, last night we had an evening playdate at a friend's house. B was playing with some other tots when one of them took something out of his hands. The other little boy's mamma saw this, crouched down to their level, and requested that her son say he was sorry. The little boy refused, so she repeated her request over and over. EVERY time she told her son to say "I'm sorry, " B said HE was sorry. I was laughing so hard that I was crying. That's my boy!

Pictures of our trip to the ranch and Georgetown are to come. Stay tuned tonight when I'll beg Ryan to post them to our July folder!
