Jennifer had always wanted to go and I had run out of reasons why we shouldn't so we made the drive up to the Holy Land.
We got up there around 5:30pm so it was a little too light outside still so we first went into town to look for a gift for Benjamin that I had been wanting to get with no luck (an un-named gift because I'm going to find it somewhere). Between the three of us, we could have probably dropped a $1,000 in Aggieland Outfitters - they have some cool stuff but Holy Moses it got expensive....$40 for a kids sweatshirt!?! The logo-less $10 maroon one from Academy will do just fine.

We headed back down to Santa's Wonderland and were shocked at how full the parking lot was compared to when we had driven past 30 minutes prior. And it was cold.
I was very impressed on how well run the entire thing was. In my head I had envisioned it being pretty hokey based on what my friends had all told me when we were back in school up there after they went through. It was far from it. Like I said, I was very impressed with the entire operation.
Benjamin had a blast and we really enjoyed spending the evening out as a family. I can't get over how many complete strangers stop to gush over him....but he is just about the cutest thing on the face of the planet.

Today I set up Benjamin's first train set. He literally played with it for hours. There is a video here.
Finally - it's been a long time but I finally got the photo albums caught up (finished September, added October & November) - including pictures from this weekend.
