Tidbits

We'll start off with the story that involves a picture. Almost every weekend Ryan ends up having some tedious errands to run. Fortunately for me, R isn't already worn out from a week of hauling a toddler in and out of the car, so he's happy to take along his little companion. Apparently, B is always on his best behavior during Dada time. Consequently, I am able to "encourage" R to conquer some of my errands as well. Last weekend R gave in to my constant nagging and took B to get a haircut. While on this expedition R needed to run by the model home and sweep off the walkway. His mini-me happily participated in the task. Apparently, the sales office was amused by the scene and began photographing my boys. They are pretty cute!

On to Monday... I had to head over to the lab for my monthly thyroid check-up. There was an unusually long wait, so B had to tough it out in my lap. As waiting rooms are, this room was deathly quiet. Except for my child. Always full of curiosity, B had plenty of explanations to seek and stories to tell. About fifteen minutes into our wait, a woman several seats down from me asked B's age. I told her two. She remarked that he has an exceptional vocabulary for a two-year-old, and we must talk to him like he is an adult. Well, thank you, ma'am! I guess we're doing something right.
The other patrons of the lab were quietly amused by B as well. I think they laughed every time someone would enter or exit the back room to the tune of B asking me if that "girl/boy got poked."
B was certainly the star of the show until we had an unfortunate toddler moment. A man several seats away had asked B if he had seen the "Cars" movie. B was too shy to respond. As people do, the man pursued the conversation hoping to win B over. He did not. Moments later, after several more people had joined the waiting room B declared, "I don't want that guy to be in here." Everyone heard. I'm pretty sure every man in the room was offended as it remained unclear (thank goodness) to whom B was referring. Fortunately we were next in line.
Tuesday B provided the elevator entertainment at St. Luke's Medical Tower. He was excitedly jabbing his thumb in the air and yelling "Gig'Em Aggies!" Now, who doesn't want to hear a little of that on their way to see their physician?
Today's most memorable B moment was when we were snuggling on the couch waiting for R to get home from work. B turned to me and said, "I love you..." he threw his arms out to his sides "WHOLE WORLD!" Translated as, "I love you the most in the whole world!"
(We always have stories. We just don't always get to the computer to record them.)
