Projects, projects, projects!

Lately I have been researching activities to keep B busy and exploring new things. I found an AMAZING blog from which I have gleaned most of my inspiration, and I know B is grateful. These are some of our "projects" from the last week...

I used food coloring and shaving cream (of course I purchased the wrong kind which ended up being light blue instead of the preferred white) for B to use as bath paints. He enjoyed this activity for AT LEAST an hour and has asked to repeat it everyday since...
I added food coloring to water and gave B droppers and empty bowls to mix them. This afforded us the opportunity to discuss primary colors and how we make other colors using them. It also gave him the perfect excuse to spend hours POURING liquid back and forth from bowl to bowl. I was remarkably impressed with his careful use of the water and breakable containers. But, for future use, I have since obtained some plastic beakers...

(Bekah has been "supervising...")
Another activity we did was to create sun catchers. Ryan had some picture frames sized for European prints. We re-appropriated those by using a clear glue and translucent shapes to catch the sun. Now we just have to get Dada to drill some holes in the frame so that we can hang it properly!
