This morning when I awoke, I saw that B had put together number puzzles and arranged them in order around the perimeter of the coffee table. A bit later, after he dressed and brushed, I found him consulting his Texas bird guide to determine exactly what kind of owl the character on Little Bear was. On the way to school we determined that we must do some research in the differences between chipmunks and squirrels. I think we covered math, science, and geography (cold verses warm habitats) all before 8:30am. I love the way this kid's mind works!
