Fourth of July

Fourth of July weekend is one of our favorite weekends of the year.  We have the world's most awesome neighborhood party following by cousin's Cinco's birthday bash.  It is partiful!  Here is what went down...not at all in order...

Cinco's birthday party was a "Rodeo Swim" party...

 Insert the mechanical bull...

Fireworks...nearly gave me a heart attack no matter how much tequila I may or may not have consumed...
 Pre-4th-of-July bash...
Requisite water slide.  I was the responsible mommy who insisted the kid wear floaties.  Consequently, she did NOT enjoy the slide...my bad (good?)

Bekah sat down to eat as soon as we arrived at the cul-de-sac.  There was another little boy sitting across from her that was her age.  They were actually involved in a VERY lengthy conversation at the end of which I was informed they had become "favorite friends."  This is her lion face..."RAWR!"
Post-party the fireworks still sounded like a war-zone, so we all lay in the living room and watched "Daddy Day Care."  Bekah snuggled with Ryan, which was a rare treat.
We also engaged in some potty-training boot camp wherein we ALL learned that Bekah knows exactly when she needs to potty.  She just doesn't bother tearing herself away from activity unless she is naked or reminded.  No accidents were had, but naked-method was imposed.  Not sure what our next step will be...
Finally, we tried to take a walk to see a house under construction, but Bekah wore out by the time we hit the "plash" pad, and Ryan had to go home and get the truck to drive us all there.  As you can see, this one doesn't travel lightly...
