After BK's 48-hour test they called us and said they'd have to run it again at 5am because his numbers were a little high for jaundice. The second test gave a similar number so they had to hold both Jennifer and Benjamin another night. This really upset Jennifer because she was ready to be out of that bed and room and into our own.
They put BK in some sort of incubation machine that is supposed to reduce the jaundice. By the time I got to the hospital from work you could see the yellow in his skin tones were fading (under his diaper and under the eye mask where the light couldn't get to were still yellow)
They did another test this morning and his numbers were low enough for us to be released. The pediatrician has to come by first but we should be out this afternoon at the latest!
