Today was one of those rare days when we didn't have activities or errands to occupy our time. We've been enjoying the house and the beautiful weather. After breakfast, Benjamin kept pointing to the front door and his stroller. He wanted to take a walk. We quickly dressed and headed out. B held onto my hand and walked down the sidewalk past about eight houses. When he was tired he held his arms up to me, and I swooped him up to head home. He was satisfied with our adventure.
After a nap, lunch, and a long ride on his rocking horse, he went into the bathroom and started pointing to the tub. He is always interested in what's going on in the tub, but I prefer to bathe him at night before bed. When I turned around and walked away he followed me until I gave him my attention again. He then started pointing and walking back towards the tub. I just threw in the towel (proverbially) and gave him a long toy-filled bubble bath...right there in the middle of the afternoon. Crazy, right? It actually worked out well because I was able to clean the entire bathroom while he played.
In a few minutes I'll be heading into B's room to grab him from his very late nap. We'll then tackle a very early dinner. Who isn't hungry when they wake up from a nap?
In other news, B has started a new routine. When I go to get him out of his crib, he starts handing me all of his stuffed toys and blankets. I take them and thank him. Then he wants them back. I'm not sure what all of that is about. If you have a clue, please tell me...
