Second post-in-a-row alert!
This morning we finally pulled the trigger and headed out to a Soccer Tots session. We have a hard time getting started in the mornings, and this morning B was the grizzly bear amongst us. When we arrived at the (weirdly bacon-smelling) gym, B refused to participate in the warm-up. While the coach was leading the tots through a series of stretches, B just sat still and shrugged me off. Since this was so uncharacteristic of him and I wasn't too thrilled to have to be in a "parent participation required" class, we almost left. Well, I have to admit that I'm glad we did not. As soon as the actual class time began and the coach sent the tots to select their soccer balls, B was HOOKED! Of course, I was too nervous/tired/pre-occupied to remember to take photographs during the bulk of the class. I didn't get any pictures at all of the actual "soccer" portion of the class, but let's just call the activities I did capture "skill building:"

After many declarations of his love for Soccer Tots (and a hefty class-fee hit to my wallet,) B insisted on having a burger for lunch. Since, first of all, I didn't want to fight with him about eating peanut butter and fruit for lunch again, and, second of all, I would LOVE a burger too, we headed to Five Guys. (Remember that I am uptight, and I won't allow B to have fast food burgers.) As you can see, he was EXHAUSTED...and he eats his meat separate from the bun...

Despite his exhaustion, he had an entirely new set of demands/"good ideas" on the way home. He thought it would be a super idea if he power napped for the ten minute ride home (which I vetoed.) He also thought that painting was the order of the day since he was feeling a strong creative inkling. Since the weather was so shockingly perfect, I decided to give in, haul out our new supplies, and indulge him in the finger painting right-of-passage. While I didn't get any photos of the process (because I'm uptight, there was a lot to hang onto, and there was wind,) I will give you a sneak peek of the first of three master pieces he created:
