CO: Telluride & RIDE FEST!

The drive into Telluride was beautiful...

As was the view from the Hotel Madeleine...

Ryan took the kids to the pool while I took a soak in the amazing tub. From what I hear, there is a Bekah Bear under that towel...
 Ryan's view...
Ryan's AMAZING view from the pool. See the gondola and the mountains?
Friday evening was about swimming, finding some great food, and watching the kids play outside in the town center.  Saturday morning we caught the gondola and headed to town for Ride Fest wrist bands and to see the doctor for my ankle.
The clinic was fully booked, so we grabbed a crutch and an ankle wrap from the pharmacy.  The town was charming...
 HEAVEN!
 They like the vintage cars...
After we grabbed our wrist bands, Ryan got into the INSANE line for the merchandise stand.  The kids and I headed back to Mountain Village (where our hotel was) via the gondola.  We needed to grab chairs, snacks, a poster roll, etc.  And we hustled back for the show to begin!
This resulted in a third degree sun burn and the world's worst tan lines...
 Selfie...
B was obsessed with his new Pearl Jam hat.  R took the kids to the kid activity zone this first time...
 They had a rock wall!
 And face painting...

And then there was ice cream...

How could you not fall in love with any festival offering this view?

I took the kids back to the kid zone a while later so R could enjoy some music...

The man in the chairs in front of us threw his jacket over Bekah when she fell asleep.  Really fine people there in Telluride...
 B really got into it...

 So did we...and the crutch...

She woke up during Pearl Jam...

On Sunday, we went over to the bungee trampoline before brunch.  The kids were second in line right behind EDDIE VEDDER'S KIDS! Harper even spoke to Bekah :)  The girls were with their mother, and they were all really nice and down-to-earth.  Unfortunately, the power in the Village went out, so the trampoline park closed before B & B could bounce.  We went to grab some pizza and enjoy a beautiful time on the patio watching the kids play in the town center...
Telluride, Ride Fest, and the Hotel Madeleine were all amazing.  It is very touristy, a stark contrast to the national parks, but it was a unique slice of Heaven we hope to revisit nonetheless!
