Eatings

Apparently Benjamin has now discovered ice cream and pudding. I didn't give it to him, so if he ends up a fat sugar-addict, I'm going to point fingers (lovingly, of course.)

Today I made him some macaroni and cheese. The "whole wheat" pasta didn't look so "whole wheat" to me. But, rest assured, it was all organic. Hmmm. I'm concerned that he's not getting enough protein beyond his formula. Thus, I'm pumping him full of dairy. Meats make me nervous right now, you know, since he can't chew. (Further proof that he occasionally doesn't even TRY to chew came about 24 hours post cream corn. You do the math.)

Anyhow, I also allowed B to feed himself the mac 'n cheese. First of all, I'm pretty sure - no POSITIVE - that he didn't try to gum it down (the proof was in the whole pastas that came tumbling out of his mouth and into the bathtub during one of his drowning episodes.) Second, I'm not so sure I'm into him feeding himself...ever again. Cheese - one of my major "ick" factors - was all over the place. Both he and I had to bathe afterwards. This wouldn't be so annoying if I hadn't just taken a bath (wherein B stood the entire time enjoying his new discovery: the cold water handle.) The second bit of concern is that B still has to eat dinner. If I let him feed himself, I'm pretty sure we're all going to have to hit the showers again.

Oh, the challenges!
