Disney World: Animal Kingdom

Since we slept a bit late on day two, we went directly to our character brunch in Animal Kingdom. We had high hopes for the experience but not the food. I have to admit that it was the best meal we ate at Disney even though it was only a buffet! B didn't really seem excited about the characters at first, much to our chagrin. This part of the Disney experience must be where they make their big bucks! Dada and Miss R stepped in...

This hippo was right on the other side of the glass from where we stood on the nature walk. So close! It was AMAZING to see from this perspective!
We saw a great parade and so many fun animals. There were no waits at all in the park, and the weather was lovely: cool and overcast. We ate an early dinner at the Rainforest Cafe on the way out of the park. Both kids slept through the entire meal. So much for B getting to enjoy the show they put on! It was a great day at a great park. We look forward to going back.
