Welcome to January...when the wheels began moving towards...AUSTIN! During a season when oil prices fell alarmingly low and could no longer support a strong job market (and consequently construction industry) in Houston, the purchasing manager of Austin resigned. This left Ryan, the best available candidate, an opportunity for promotion during what was definitely hard times for many. We welcomed the new opportunity but had little idea of the hoops and trenches selling and building would bring.
Austin was Ryan's new home as of January 18th, and it was ours on the weekends until we could join him.
We accidentally found this "play-in-the-dark" mini golf course one rainy weekend when we came to visit R in Austin. It was SUPER ghetto...in an old Mexican food restaurant...in a mall...no joke. But we just gave in. And the kids had a great time...
