More for Me Than You

Well, let me just apologize in advance for this post.  The fact is that we're getting further and further along in the building process, and I'm starting to obsess.  This post will cover some of our progress to date and some of our selections.

Let's start at the beginning.  This is a rough picture of the front elevation.  There will be some differences, but this offers and idea...
One of my recent foci has been the stairwell.  This is what it is SUPPOSED to look like, per plan...
This is what I want it to look like...
So, we had them frame some wrap-around stairs.  I think the two bottom stairs will be oak, and the wooden balusters will be the same as those in the above (we'll call it "inspiration") photo.
This is a horrible picture of the kitchen...but the kitchen won't actually look much like this at all...confusing, I know.
This IS our travertine backsplash and granite selection.  Hard to see, but I LOVE the movement in this granite.
This is our bathroom granite, but the sinks will be undermounted.
This is a gameroom pic, but the planning area will be a second double closet instead of open space.  We figured the kids would probably have their computers in their rooms.
Media room...I'm pretty excited about this...
This is the view from upstairs according to the plans, but our window over the door will be much bigger, the door will be solid alder, and the fixture will be grander.
The fixture...Ryan's not too thrilled that I wanted to upgrade, but I am certain it will be worth it...

This is the view from the entry.  You can see the two sets of French doors at the back of the house.

Looking into the dining area...
This is the back of the house.  We will have an eight foot patio extension along the back of the house to be flush with the master alcove.  We are also planning a pergola.  I am excited to have this great extra living space, and I foresee a sand table, water table, sand box, patio furniture, and planters...ahhh...
Did we mention that we're excited?  We're enjoying the process, and we look forward to spending many years in this home!
